Sitges is a maritime city. It has a large tourist infrastructure with facilities and three marinas, is the city with most marinas throughout the Spanish state. Besides tourism trade people focused on fishing and making shoes later, economic activities have disappeared (except small workshops).

This city was rebuilt in the last century, achieving a high number in tourism. Noted for his outstanding location the Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, better known as "La Punta". The strategic location of this church has become one of the most recognized icons in Sitges. An authentic coastal stamped at the end of the promenade and on top of the bastion, after climbing the steps to admire the sea before going to visit the Church. Its structure is quite peculiar, because it has two bell towers, and possesses one of the watch towers that served the population to calculate the time. Its facade is quite simple but the frame where it is located is incomparable. The beautiful parish of San Bartolome and Santa Tecla is certainly the image that symbolizes Sitges. The church, built in the seventeenth century but with many subsequent amendments, is a charming Baroque style and the interior retains several Renaissance and Baroque altars and an organ of 1690.

Despite the beauty of its architecture, the church would not be the same were it not for its great setting. Located on a small hill overlooking the beach and the town.

El Raco de la Calma is a really lovely place to pass by and we stop for a while, as we go from the beach of San Sebastian to the church of Sant Bertomeu and Santa Tecla. At the end of this walk in a large square overlooking the sea and the lighthouse there is a very nice market where we can buy accessories, earrings, clothes, bracelets ... In conclusion, it is a wonderful place to spend a great summer in its magnificent beaches and to roam around its magnificent streets.
